                                                                                             Sara Clancy Hernandez, Ph.D

Licensed Psychologist in the state of California (PSY26590)

                                                                                             [email protected]

Welcome. Using a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, I strive to create a safe and secure therapeutic environment to anchor you here, in the moment. I am a strong believer in the power of the present. Finding our grounding in the here and now can increase awareness and patience which can help us achieve clarity, balance, compassion, and fulfillment. This is one of the many ways that we can find and access that healing force that we already have inside of us.

As a Psychologist as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I carry expertise in post -traumatic stress and other trauma-based concerns, anxiety (such as obsessive-compulsive tendencies), adjustment and transition stress, academic and career concerns, depression, grief, dance and performance concerns, and body image and eating concerns. Upon request, I am happy to provide or participate in consultations, retreats, meditations for groups or individuals, or talks/lectures.

Within a collaborative, multiculturally -sensitive, and LGBTQ affirming environment, my therapeutic orientation generally integrates Mindfulness, Emotion-Focused, and Interpersonal therapeutic approaches, and includes cognitive and behavioral techniques within these areas. It might include mindfulness meditations, stress management and relaxation coaching, body movement, or alternative techniques and approaches. As a dancer as well as a Psychologist, I also honor the healing power of body awareness and movement. However, my approach truly is our approach. It is alway tailored to each individual, family, or couple- what you think and feel as we move forward together is most important to me.

I look forward to becoming a part of your beautiful journey.

                                                                                        Humberto R. Hernandez, Ph.D

Licensed Psychologist in the state of California

                                                                                             [email protected]

Making lasting changes in your life can be difficult, which is why searching for support is such a brave step.

As a licensed psychologist, my work focuses on helping my clients develop healthier relationships with their thoughts, emotions, and important people in their lives. Specifically, we identify and shift unhelpful beliefs, and work toward acceptance and understanding of important emotional experiences. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with my clients as we discover and rediscover their inner strengths.

Though therapy can look different for different people, I tend to work from an approach that integrates cognitive therapies (i.e., Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and Emotion Focused Therapy, within a multiculturally sensitive framework. As a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), I integrate neuroscience within the empirically validated techniques that I use in order to help individuals address their fears and take back their lives.

In addition to working with individuals on a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression, I specialize in working with adults who live with ADHD, providing education and therapeutic support as they navigate their personal and professional pursuits. My expertise also includes testing and assessment, such as Learning Disability assessment (ADD or ADHD, for example).

As a runner and coach alongside my role as a Psychologist, I enjoy working with athletes, helping to develop and/or refine the mental fitness that will support their athletic pursuits. This mental fitness may involve developing goals, managing anxiety during competition, and fostering healthy routines. I also have extensive experience working with student -athletes, and college/university students in general.

I would be honored to help you access your inner strengths and resources, and reach your life goals.
